2004 Connecticut State Field Target Airgun Championships

First and foremost, thanks to everyone who attended the 2004 CT State Air Rifle Field target championships at WLOPA.  It was a terrific shoot with challenges for both novice and advanced shooters in no small way due to the efforts of WLOPA FT Match Director, Peter Morris.  He put together a terrific program from start to finish.

The 2004 Championships were truly a family event with junior participants shooting along side a number of adult shooters.  The highlight of the day was the 100% score turned in by Billy Lo and Robb White that resulted in a breath-holding shootoff at a 5/8" target placed at 45 yards.  Billy shot the awesome LDSS (LD Simple Simon) and Robb the Styer LG 100.  When all was settled, Robb White emerged as the 2004 CT Open Champion.  Paul Bishop took top honors in both the Piston and Hunter Class Championships shooting his custom-designed TX200 "Cory Ann" (Piston) and R-9 (Hunter Class).  In the Junior Class, Jake Cohen emerged as winner shooting a .20 cal BesTuned R-9.
