2006 AAFTA National Championships
for
Airgun Field Target

The 20th Annual American Airgun Field target Association's National Championships are now over.  We ate well, we shot well (some of us anyway), and we all had a good time.  Scores were good in spite of the windy conditions on Day 1, and when it was all over, Roz Sumpter of Pulaski, Tennessee emerged as the Piston Champion for 2006 and Warren Williamson of Cincinnati, Ohio emerged as the PCP champion.  Both 60 shot courses were rated at a 42 Troyer difficulty level  for a total course of fire of 120 shots.  107 competitors registered for the event, and 97 shot day one while 95 shot both day 1 and 2.  It was a lot of people and a lot of spectators.

Rather than try to put this event into words right now, take a moment and click on the following link to photos of this year's AAFTA Nationals.  I hope they give you a sense of the fun and competitive spirits of the event.   Thanks to everyone for attending!
